A decision that is good for one department might be detrimental to another. Looking at the company as a whole will allow you to avoid this and rather choose an option that is beneficial to all.
Truly successful business planning should always be an integrated process, taking all aspects of the business into consideration and creating a model whereby all work together in the most efficient way to achieve the objective. There are external factors beyond our control that will influence the way the plan is moving forward, so be sure to review the business plan on a regular basis.
