Business Modelling Associates (BMA) is looking to hire Supply Chain Modellers / Analysts. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in diverse and interesting projects that combine operations research, optimisation, and simulation across a wide range of industries. Applicants should possess good people skills and be able to work and manage their time independently. You will also be required to interact with global and remote clients and business consultants and it is therefore imperative that applicants have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must be prepared to travel both locally and internationally.
Design and deliver supply chain management and strategic sourcing solutions using world class optimisation, planning and analytics technologies.
Understand key business performance levers (on-time delivery, cost to serve, feasibility, etc.) and seek solutions to improve these metrics.
Be able to work both in a team environment and on your own and participate in the development of modelling approaches.
Identify and raise issues that impact project quality, scope, timing, or cost.
Provide structured and creative analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities and effectively communicate findings with clients.
Review and validate data, build and validate models, run scenarios, and assist in the preparation of client presentations.
Fully document modelling approach, data sources and transformations, assumptions and constraints.
Communicate, workshop and present findings and recommendations.
Experience in or knowledge of supply chain planning and design (or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply complex technical skills).
Some knowledge of the principles of optimisation and how optimisation is performed using software packages.
Understanding of simulation and the differences between optimisation and simulation.
Familiarity with planning, forecasting, transportation, inventory management, and strategic sourcing.
Database (SQL) and MS Excel skills strongly desired.
Experience with Large Data and data integration / ETL tools a distinct advantage.
Degree or equivalent experience in industrial engineering, operations research, or supply chain management.
Previous supply chain consulting experience or business analyst experience would be a significant advantage.
