Business Modelling Associates (BMA) is looking for a Business Development Specialist to lead the establishment and development of a new B2B prospecting function within the company’s marketing team. This role will be a key driver in BMA’s growth and acceleration in making a tangible impact in the global effort to develop a sustainable future.
About the role

Identify target executives within a specified range of companies in several UK industry sectors, primarily asset-intensive companies, eg. utilities, energy, water in the UK
Prospect into strategic business accounts via cold email, cold call and social media strategies
Maintain and organise a new contact database CRM (hubspot) and be familiar working with this prospecting tool as well as LinkedIn sales navigator
Collaborate with the marketing team on integrated content marketing campaigns and oversee all new inbound leads
Research our UK audiences in-depth and understand our target customers’ organisational structure; keep an up-to-date database of contacts and understand their roles within their organisations.
Produce creative strategies for targeting decision-makers at prospect accounts in order to book sales meetings for our directors and consultants
Find creative and disciplined ways to connect regularly with identified contacts, even when immediate conversion to customer is unlikely
Assist with the organisation of specialist industry conferences, UK & internationally, and support from a business development perspective
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, technology or a related field
2-3 years’ experience in a similar role; experienced in B2B business development
Experienced in outreach, cold calling, emailing, as well as sales pipeline development techniques
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong persuasive skills demonstrated through a track record of prospect engagement via phone campaigns
