Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans require wastewater companies to take a holistic approach in the development of investment plans to maintain and improve their services. The Decision Support Tool provided by BMA allows clients to integrate risk assessments, options appraisal and programme development into a single platform. By combining a mathematical optimisation engine with cloud based storage and visualisation tools, BMA is uniquely capable to support wastewater utilities in the realisation of a truly systemic DWMP.
National Grid Gas Transmission Network Strategy Solution, NetStrat, is the latest project case study being showcased from our Energy Systems and Sustainability Solution Suite.
Working collaboratively with National Grid Gas Transmission (NGGT), BMA developed an advanced systems model of the high-pressure gas national transmission system (NTS). An innovative combination of optimisation and hydraulic modelling approaches are providing a step change in Network Strategy capability at NGGT, which is critical to ensuring the gas transmission network remains relevant. The advanced systems model is enabling NGGT to develop a robust 25-year network strategy, which is resilient in the face of future uncertainty.
Decarbonising Industry in the Humber is the latest project within our Energy Systems and Sustainability Solution Suite. Working collaboratively with CATCH, the Humber LEP and key business stakeholders in the Humber industrial cluster, BMA provided modelling strategy recommendations for the development of the cluster Net Zero roadmap. A demonstration model was also developed to illustrate the functionality of a using a truly whole systems modelling approach.
