Business Modelling Associates (BMA), a leading consulting and solutions development firm specialising in next generation business analytics, is pleased to announce that BMA UK has been awarded the new ISO 27001:2013 certification, which is the international standard for the management of information security.
“At Business Modelling Associates, we aspire to the highest standards of information security compliance. Achieving ISO 27001 certification gives our customers the peace of mind that we have the right processes in place to work with and build systems that handle sensitive information. This is especially important for our clients in the UK Utility sector due to their role in the Critical National Infrastructure,” said Mark Penny, Chief Operating Officer at BMA.
Achieving the ISO 27001 standard certifies that BMA has the requisite information security controls in place to protect client data. The certification is awarded only to companies that can meet the standard as judged by an independent, accredited team of auditors. In order to be certified, BMA fulfilled requirements related to the establishment, maintenance, and implementation of its information security management system. In addition, BMA met ISO 27001:2013 requirements for the appraisal and handling of information security risks.
Rod Stout, co-founder of BMA, said: “We are delighted to achieve the new ISO 27001 certification for information security. BMA is expanding internationally into new markets and being compliant with the latest security standards is an important step as we look forward to partnering with more clients on their business analytics journey.”
