Lead Generation / Business Development Specialist

Business Modelling Associates (BMA) is looking for a Business Development Specialist to lead the establishment and development of a new B2B prospecting function within the company’s marketing team. This role will be a key driver in BMA’s growth and acceleration in making a tangible impact in the global effort to develop a sustainable future.

The ideal candidate will have an energetic, tenacious and can-do attitude, and be comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify target executives within a specified range of companies in several UK industry sectors, primarily asset-intensive companies, eg. utilities, energy, water in the UK
  • Prospect into strategic business accounts via cold email, cold call and social media strategies
  • Maintain and organise a new contact database CRM (hubspot) and be familiar working with this prospecting tool as well as LinkedIn sales navigator
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on integrated content marketing campaigns and oversee all new inbound leads
  • Research our UK audiences in-depth and understand our target customers’ organisational structure; keep an up-to-date database of contacts and understand their roles within their organisations.
  • Produce creative strategies for targeting decision-makers at prospect accounts in order to book sales meetings for our directors and consultants
  • Find creative and disciplined ways to connect regularly with identified contacts, even when immediate conversion to customer is unlikely
  • Assist with the organisation of specialist industry conferences, UK & internationally, and support from a business development perspective


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, technology or a related field
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role; experienced in B2B business development
  • Experienced in outreach, cold calling, emailing, as well as sales pipeline development techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong persuasive skills demonstrated through a track record of prospect engagement via phone campaigns
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Previous experience using CRM prospecting tools
